Our Web Platform team at Adobe has been working on this feature, with many other partners in the W3C, the WebKit and the Blink projects, for over two years now. How to get the updates: Look for the update in the Creative Cloud application and click Update . (Quit and restart the Creative Cloud application if you don’t see the update) If you don t have the Creative Cloud application running, start Photoshop and choose Help > Updates. The Adobe Application Manager will launch. Select Adobe Photoshop CC and choose Update.

GPU bits working well now, thank you. Saw the issue pop-up yesterday on first launch, now gone completely. As an aside, I really think it’d be helpful if you guys linked to these blog posts or (listed) a proper change log in the CC updater app, as “addresses of number of issues discovered” doesn’t really tell me anything.
Trying to update to 14.1.x. No updates available. I have gone as far as to uninstall all Adobe CC products and CC itself and no luck. I only get Photoshop CC 14.0.x. I am using a mac with OS X 10.9. I also subscribe with the educational discount. Does that have anything to do with why I can’t see the update?

Update from post in earlier thread. Things louis look fine now. The custom hotkeys are still where I set them except for the refinements (like in Smart Sharpen) which has been simplified but my settings are as last set. Also Shadow/Highlight is also where I set them previously. I notice others have complained so kudos to the team for correcting so quickly.
“Nice work team” my #$%. I’m sick of file-corrupting bugs and poorly-implemented updates. A quick turn fix 14.1.1 release in not good work, it’s a symptom of a very poor quality control process. Creative Cloud apps are all “live beta” as far as I’m concerned, and I don’t trust them with my critical files or as tools to make my livelihood.
I would respectfully disagree with BJ Nicholls,The Adobe CC suite is the most complicated and intricate software suites on the planet. It runs in two versions of Windows and two versions of Mac OS that are all in constant state of flux with monthly updates and Adobe is facing increasing pressure to come out with a no-Windows_ emulation-necessary Linux version of their software. They not only have to maintain at least 4 to 8 code versions of this suite but make the work-product of this suite totally cross compatible. Adobe to keep abreast of at least 3 manufactures graphic drivers and a myriad of mouse, graphic pad and motherboard drivers. You are talking about millions of line of code that have to be maintained constantly. THERE CODE WILL NEVER EVER BE TOTALLY STABLE! ! ! It is an impossibility, even if they ceased the development of all new features today they would never be through refining and fixing their code.
I have Photoshop CC version 14.0. When I open PS CC and select HELP the “UPDATES” are greyed out and therefore I cannot update PS CC to version 14.1.1. Is there a way to get the latest update???

Layers are selected and then Select

Photoshop moto CS6 introduced the ability to search/filter layers based on a number of parameters using the filter moto bar at the top of the Layers panel. Photoshop CC took search/filtering one step farther by adding the ability show only selected Layers (while temporarily moto hiding non-selected layers in the Layers panel), by choosing Select > Isolate Layers.
Layers are selected and then Select > Isolate Layers is chosen, hiding non-selected layers in the Layers panel. moto Notice that the filter in the Layers panel is activated (the switch is red to show that it’s “on”).
However, moto when “toggling off” or exiting Isolation mode, Photoshop CC simply turned off the filter in the Layers panel, instead of resetting the Layer Filter. Now, in Photoshop CC (v14.1), toggling Isolation mode “off”, resets the Layer Filter to default moto values .
The panel on the left shows Photoshop CC with Isolation mode toggled moto off (note that in the red square, the filter is toggled off). The panel on the right shows Photoshop moto CC (V14.1) with Isolation mode toggled off and we can see that the Layer Filter has been reset to it’s default values.

In Photoshop CC, the Photoshop engineers added the ability to use either the Path Selection or Direct Selection tool to drag in the image area and select more than one path even if the paths were on different layers. Given this feature, customers have since requested they be able to limit the layers that Photoshop allowed drag-selecting shapes from based on whether or not the layer was selected. So now, in Photoshop CC (v14.1), with either the Path Selection and/or Direct edge Selection tool selected, you can choose between selecting All Layers or Active Layers in the Options bar when drag-selecting edge paths in the image area.

I had to move back to CS6 because I can’t select any layers with Path Selection Tool anymore with CC. I always select all the vector layers edge with it. Is there any chance to get it back selecting layers by clicking the shape? Move tool isn’t an option since I cant pick vector points with that one.
You can still click on a path using the Direct Selection tool and you can also drag in the image area to select multiple paths over multiple layers so there shouldn’t be any reason that you would need to return to CS6. The official Arduino IDE is a dour piece of software designed hummer for uploading code to the ubiquitous and super-cool micro controller. It is a standalone, non-networked app that isn’t very pretty to look at. But what if you want to share code and upload programs right from your browser? That’s hummer where CodeBender.cc comes in.
CodeBender is a browser-based IDE that supports uploading to nearly any Arduino board. You can use the program to copy sample code, browse code uploaded by other users, and even store private snippets. Because it is collaborative you can clone bits of code and use it in your own projects and there is even a curated list of cool snippets.
Founded by Vasilis Georgitzikis and Alexandros Baltas, the site came out of LAUNCHub , a European seed fund. ” It all started by my frustration as a computer engineer who was used to advanced development tools, only to lose them when I moved to coding for Arduino, and my frustration as an Arduino instructor on various hackerspaces around hummer the world, when I spent 2.5 hours of each 3 hour workshop just to install hummer the damned thing,” said Georgitzikis.

As we were busy getting ready for our community hyundai accent Global Summit a few weeks ago, we nearly missed the announcement of another very important addition to that community – our new CC Kenya affiliate.
Our new Kenyan team is based around two Nairobi-based affiliate institutions: Strathmore University ‘s Centre for Intellectual Property and Information Technology (CIPIT) and the National Council for Law Reports (NCLR). CIPIT – led by Dr. Isaac Rutenberg – is Kenya’s Public Lead, while the NCLR – led by Michael hyundai accent Murungi – serves as CC Kenya’s hyundai accent Legal Lead institution.
The Kenyan team is supported by a large existing hyundai accent CC community in the country, hyundai accent which has been active for quite some time. Unsurprisingly, therefore, a number of projects and activities are already under way. One of the first major activities of the new team, even before they had formally launched, was Kenya’s inaugural Creative Commons Salon. Held on 6 June, 2013 at Nairobi’s iHub and themed, “using technology as a democratizing tool, especially one that will level the playing field for education and opportunity in Kenya,” the event drew approximately 50 participants from different backgrounds.
Akili Dada is a leadership incubator investing hyundai accent in high-achieving young African women from underprivileged backgrounds who are passionate about social change. CIPIT is CC Kenya’s Public Lead while Jamlab drives the School of Open in Kenya .
In her opening remarks Allison Domicone, Akili Dada’s Director of Development (and who incidentally ran CC Salons from late 2008 through early 2011 and helped grow them significantly while working with Creative Commons in San Francisco, California) welcomed the attendees then asked Alex Gakuru , Creative Commons Africa hyundai accent Regional Coordinator, to say a few words.

Discussions on how technology can be harnessed as democratizing tool delved into how it can be made more accessible to all people with a special attention to girls and women given local statistics that they constitute only 15 percent of a technology field dominated by men. Discussion around access was extended to include access to online resources, empowering instruments and digital tools such as the mobile phone.

The new Photoshop CC hasn t launched without a lot of controversy. There are some very valid reasons not to like the fact that the only way to get your hands on this new release is via the Creative Cloud. However, putting delivery methods and subscription software issues aside, let’s look at what is in the new Photoshop CC for photographers so you can see what you’ll get if you upgrade or what you’re foregoing access to if you don t.
Photoshop CC has a few new additions and one update that will be of interests to photographers. There’s little here that you can’t live without but some of these additions you may want to live with! Liquify cc as a Smart Object
In previous versions of Photoshop the Liquify filter was one of the few filters that you could not apply to a Smart Object layer. That meant that any changes that you made using the Liquify Filter were permanent changes to the image which could not be undone, and they couldn’t cc be easily altered or blended back into the image in a non-destructive way. Now it s possible to apply the Liquify Filter to a Smart Object layer so that the edits that you make to the image using the liquify filter can be edited later on if desired. They can be removed by disabling the filter, they can be blended using a layer blend mode, masked and edited.
New to Photoshop CC is the ability to apply changes which previously could only be made in Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) to an image from inside Photoshop. The new Camera Raw Filter cc lets you apply ACR edits to a layer and even to a Smart Object layer in Photoshop. This makes almost all the tools in ACR available to be used in Photoshop as an editable filter. To access this feature, choose Filter > Camera Raw filter.
While not technically an addition to Photoshop, the Upright feature is new to Adobe Camera Raw (ACR) for Photoshop CC. So, if you have Photoshop CC, you have access to Upright in ACR (and as a filter adjustment via the Camera Raw filter too).
The Upright tool can automatically straighten an image and remove keystone distortion which is apparent when shooting tall buildings, for example. It is found in ACR in the Lens Correction panel click the Manual tab.
The new Shake Reduction filter in Photoshop CC helps deal with blurry images. It won’t fix them all and, of course it’s always preferable to get the image sharp in camera, but it can fix some burry shots particularly those captured in good light with a zoom lens and it can help sharpen text in images.
In addition cc to the Upright feature available in ACR there are other new and improved cc features in ACR that you can access if you have Photoshop CC. These include the improved Spot Removal tool which can be used like a paintbrush to select an element in an image to fix this makes it easier to use where the problem area is not circular. In addition the new Radial Gradient tool lets you add a radial gradient to an image to apply fixes and creative effects.
You may already know that there are problems inherent in enlarging images cc because Photoshop needs to make additional pixels where pixels did not previously exist. The new resizing algorithm in Photoshop CC improves the results when you are enlarging an image.
Choose Image > Image Size and enlarge the dialog so that you can see things clearly on the screen. Set the final image size, for example if you want to enlarge by 200 percent set 200 percent as the width and height. Click the Resample checkbox and from the dropdown list choose the new Preserve Details (Enlargement) option. The preview image shows the result of upsizing using this option.
Sharpening has been improved in Photoshop cc CC with changes cc to the Smart Sharpen filter. To see it at work choose Filter > Sharpen > Smart Sharpen and again enlarge the dialog so that you can see the effect on the image. You can now adjust the Amount and the Radius for the sharpening. Typically radius should be in the region of 0.5 to 1.5 pixels for most images. You can also choose to reduce noise as you sharpen. The shadows and highlights area allows you to fade sharpening, for example, in the shadow areas applying it more strongly cc to the highlights cc where noise will be less visible. You can also select to remove Gaussian blur, Lens blur or Motion blur if these blur issues affect your image.
The new Adaptive Wide Angle Filter helps you remove problems encountered when shooting with wide angle lenses. Choose Filter > Adaptive Wide Angle and choose cc the problem to correct from the Correction dropdown list. Set the sliders for the Focal Length and Crop factor to remove distortion. cc You can also draw on the image to add constraints. These lines should be positioned over objects cc in the image that you want to be straight. Our keloland forthcoming October 2013 release of Premiere Pro CC brings a slew of new features to allow editors to work faster than ever, at higher fidelity, with previously unimagined access to rich color grading and processing tools.
Color is becoming increasingly important throughout an entire production workflow, and the addition of the Lumetri Deep Color Engine in the June 2013 Premiere Pro CC release gave editors the ability to work with beautiful SpeedGrade grades right inside the application. With this release, SpeedGrade has fully implemented the Mercury Playback Engine from Premiere Pro, and a brand new workflow between the two applications is being introduced, namely Direct Link. With Direct Link, editors can save a project in Premiere Pro and then open the sequence they were working on directly in SpeedGrade, with no need to deal with interchange formats or any kind of conversion. SpeedGrade then opens the sequence in a familiar timeline that more closely matches how you work in Premiere Pro . You can access all the clip edit points, transitions, and layers, using the same track layout as Premiere Pro. From there, create your grades, and then reopen the same project in Premiere Pro with all your color work fully intact. This workflow uses no interchange formats and no importing or exporting it s just the same Premiere Pro project moving between the two applications. See a quick demo video here .
Responding to rapid changes in the industry with the move to Ultra High Definition 4K formats and beyond, Premiere Pro s outstanding native media support has been given a major boost this release. New native keloland file format support for Cinema DNG, Sony RAW, Phantom Cine, improved MJPG from Canon 1DC, Sony XAVC Long GOP, Panasonic AVC Ultra (Long GOP), 64 bit ProRes decoding keloland (Mac OS X 10.8 or higher only), and support keloland for exporting XAVC up to 4K and AVCi200 is included, and Cinema DNG can be debayered on a supported GPU for even better performance. For the highest resolution, RED Dragon 6K is also natively supported, with full RED color science built in. And if a high-powered system isn t available, improved capabilities for relinking from proxy media back to full resolution, combined keloland with brand new editable sequence settings, make this kind of work much easier. A host of new editing features are included in this release designed to speed up the creative process. The new Monitor Overlays feature allows for critical information to be superimposed in both Source and Program Monitors. Designed to be flexible and customizable, editors can select which metadata is displayed and where, so important information such as clip timecode, edit point indicators and marker comments can be seen at a glance and in context. Other new editing features like single-click frame hold, rippling of sequence markers, faster maximum JKL speeds (up to 32x), leaner keloland trim icons, drag-drop support for After Effects transitions from popular third-parties like GenArts, new slimmer trim cursors, all add up to this being an essential release for modern editors. Multicam workflows have been further enhanced, with easy control over the ordering of angles, and the ability to switch angles on and off, making working keloland with large numbers of camera angles simple. Back in 2010, CC Iftars were created as community-organized gatherings where CC members and people interested in the sharing culture would meet up to celebrate together the breaking of the fast, and share food and creative ideas. During the past four years, CC communities in Egypt, Jordan, the UAE, Syria, Morocco, Iraq, Lebanon, Qatar, and Tunisia have actively contributed to the iftar project by hosting community events, screening movies, featuring talks, charity marathons, and remixing competitions.

As in previous years, CC Iftars have proven to be a great opportunity to host community-driven discussions and feature new ideas and projects. They have also showed the enthusiasm and self-organization skills of CC Arab communities, even in such difficult times of political and social unrest.

Today we re announcing the immediate availability of new Photoshop CC features for Creative Cloud members. This update to Photoshop CC (version 14.1) includes an exciting new technology, Adobe Generator, which allows new workflows, especially for web designers, screen designers, and anyone who needs to extract image assets lelong out of a Photoshop document.
Generator allows you to create image assets in real time as you work, eliminating the tedious steps of copying, slicing and exporting each layer manually, and saving you hours of time. Simply add a file extension to the name of your layer or layer group, and Photoshop will automatically create a JPG, PNG or GIF from the contents of that layer. If you make a change to that layer, the file is immediately updated. This means that you now have a folder of images that are always up-to-date with your Photoshop design.
To turn on this functionality, go to File -> Generate -> Image Assets. Now all you have to do is rename the layers or layer groups you want to export. Here are some examples of supported tags: .png (Default value: png32 with semi-transparent alpha), .png8, .png24, .png32 .jpg (Default value: lelong 9), .jpg(1-10), .jpg(1-100%) .gif 1-n%, (Number) px x (Number) px for scaling

As usual? Um … no … every single feature, update etc has worked 100% perfectly since day one for me. Seems to me you’re bitter. Now, maybe you should chill out a little and contact support, instead of getting irate over it on the blog post
I ran into the same issue. Tried reinstalling, doubled checked the installation, rebooted my machine… nothing. Then I realized I was running my copy of the Adobe Photoshop CS6 application, which is not the same as the Adobe Photoshop CC. Fired up the Adobe Photoshop CC application, performed the updates for my CC applications, checked the version – and it’s up to date with the current features running.
