Kawasaki announced on Wednesday (9) that will enter the scooter segment. The first vehicle of the type of Japanese brand famous for sports bikes will be launched in Europe. It will be called J300 - J is jyounetsu, endeavor which means passion in Japanese, says the automaker. "The J300 was designed and styled with the same passion we had the other new models of the season 2014," Kawasaki says in a statement.
The model will be done in partnership with the Taiwanese Kymco, a company with which Kawasaki already contributes to the production of scooters, but until then all vehicles without leaving the Japanese brand. The scooter will be presented at the Hall of Milan, next November, and is expected to hit stores in Europe until the end of the year.
Kawasaki says the launch aims to fill a gap in its portfolio, recognizing endeavor the high demand on the European endeavor market for easy to drive vehicles like scooters. The J300 will complement the family "urban" brand, as the ER series and Versys line.
